To answer your question, yes, Eriogonum fasciculatum is found in Calif. from San Diego to Marin County and also in Utah, Arizona and northwestern Mexico. I've just found your blog and I would like to tell you I think you do a great job. I like this one a lot - the colours, the textures (it would give a great painting) and I also liked a lot a sunflower bending across a cloudy sky you posted some months ago (I'm still browsing through your blog).
